Wedding planning and good feeds

Dave and I have been embarking on Saturday outings of wedding planning:

Last Saturday: We truly believed that the Lord is leading us to a lighthouse wedding. So we went to check out Macquarie Lighthouse. The magnificence of Australia's first lighthouse, it looks very well maintained and there looked like there were couples already there taking their pre-wedding shots. On our way to lunch we spotted a quaint little church, but the capacity seemed to be only for 70 people, the view however was spectacular..
We had a peep inside, there was people there setting up for a 2pm wedding that day. Famished then we had a perfect excuse to head over to Doyle's on the beach for their famous fish and chips... Yummy.... Dave staring at our seafood basket & seafood chowder. Enjoyed the sunny winter day's lovely views while eating.
Pretty disappointed during the week when we figured out the Macquarie lighthouse wasn't suitable for our ceremony, limit of 10 chairs, no PA system, no catering, no exclusive use, no alcohol....ur.. then why are we paying $1000 for??? Search again, we planned to go to the bridal expo at Fox Studios the following Saturday.
Weekend 2:
Started the day with early lunch at new Glebe place Naggy's cafe, such a weird name but it was pretty popular with the Glebe hippy crowd.

Interesting decor, modern Bills inspired shared meal table with odds and ends as chairs and the opposite wall red velveteen, luxurious chairs and settees. We decided to go comfy.. =) Dave had Naggy's salad, mixed greens with fresh peas, fennel, pistachio, bacon bits and some creamy sauce thing.. oh so yummy. I have to have some form of meat, something strange and different for a change, ginger and date pork meatballs with orange couscous and mixed greens. very delish too. Tempting, cookie & dessert counter, couldn't resist a shot as we walked past.
Next stop, Bridal expo near fox studios.... Urgh .. never again.. the runway show quite a circus of orbity/gaudy creations, only very few things we liked.. I can't believe there was a hire a Michael Jackson impersonator there! I mean who would do that for their wedding?!?!?!! HE was very very good though, just not for a wedding.
The photography companies there impressed us, Blumenthal photography creme de le creme, and visuality was pretty good (not too cut-throat prices). We need to see if we can budget it in, photography is to Dave is like flowers to me.

WE decide to reward our "hard work" with great food at the belgian beer cafe in north Sydney, mussels cooked in chorizo, white wine, tomato and coriander hot pot with a nice Hoegarden beer and snags on mash.

Ended the night with a drive down to bradley point park to check out another "famous" ceremony locale. So dark and we saw a lot of RABBITS ... Dave said its a sign.. yah rite
